The Grape Debate: Old World Vs New World

  • Hill Street Design House 3 Hill Street Edinburgh UK (map)

The grape debate! Does one producer better wines than the other? The Old World vs New World discussion has been ongoing for a number of years with many differing opinions. This tasting, however, will be looking at the differences in style due to climate and how each wine depicts its sense of place.

The evening will take the form of a comparative tasting which is always fascinating and never fails to surprise.  We will taste classic grape varieties side by side to see how climate and wine making influence taste and style.  One of the grape varieties will be tasted 'blind' to really put your Old and New World tasting to the the test!

Tickets for this event cost £35 plus booking fee and include the usual glass of something sparkling on arrival, followed by 6 wines and a delicious selection of cheese from IJ Mellis, Edinburgh.
